Her blog's full of laughter and whacky fun.

I will have to get over there when time permits. I did try to post but the interface is a little unusual.

I will attempt to return home and I am trying to bang out as many cases before the holiday. Reuniting families is pleasant work .

She really has incredible courage. Everybody should read what she has to say, and think about it the next time we're feeling whiney over something inconsequential.

Wow! She's some lady. She reminds me of my cousin who has CP and is great fun.

I don't bring it up often but after reading about Rachel's ordeals it brought back a lot of memories. I went through a different experience but physically we are at the same place. New Year's Eve 1996 was the last time I walked. All I can say is thank God for the Veterans Administration. I received much better care. Amazing how quickly your life can change..in a blink of an eye.
I miss teaching and I miss being part of the Coast Guard reserves.

So true, felis. On all counts.

Your work sounds very fulfilling, Beak. You're doing a great job.

EB, absolutely.

Rory, yep.

Batya, she truly is.

AC, wow, thank you for sharing that. My heart goes out to you too. You are both amazing people and inspiring.

Thanks so much guys, kind words every now and again really do make a difference. If there is anything I hoped to achieve with my post it is to prove the resilience of the human spirit, and that we all have it within us.

AC, I'll be thinking of you especially over Christmas and the new year.
