Sick as a Dog

That would be me. And working two full time jobs... no days off this week cause I was called in to one job on my one day off, that being today, for six hours for a seminar. Can't even bring myself to comment on my own blog. Want to sleep or at least cough some more. Where's the tissue box? Miss you guys. Stay healthy.

Esther,
I don't mean to sound like a Jewish mother, but you had a bad cold not that long ago, and you're obviously getting rundown. But I hope you'll be feeling better very soon. And don't forget -- chicken soup, chicken soup, chicken soup.

Also, don't worry about the blog. As you can see, we've been getting some very interesting input from our friends.

Esther,
Bummer!

Build up your immune system. Get the Nikken Mushrooms supplements. You might not find the Nikken brand in a store, but there are other mushroom blends. Dr. Weil recommends them.

Get well soon!

Patrick, don't I wish.... I know I need to. This duel job thing will only last a few months. A show I used to work on last year got picked up for a second season. Since you guys know how often I'm unemployed, I figured I better make hay while the sun shines. Sadly, the sun's shining while I'm sick. Probably wouldn't be any big deal to do both if I felt fine. But thanks. :)

Rory, I'm not sure this isn't that same cold...just having never went away and now getting worse. And you're so right -- I've been loving the discussions I've seen going on.... I sneak a peek at work and then get called to do something so I can't comment.

Thanks Seawitch. And thanks to C-Mom for the advice and commenting. I read out loud, "Oh wow, C-Mom" and my boyfriend heard me and asked if that was "Sea...witch's mother." Made me giggle. Seawitch, he's very into your name and often asks how you're doing. :)

AOW, I drink mushroom coffee. Does that count? I know it's probably just snake oil but I really like it. It's that ganoexcel stuff....promises to do all sorts of crap that it probably doesn't BUT I do feel like it revs my brain up (with very little caffine) so I like it. But I'll check into Nikken. We have a GNC across the street from where I work (the job u saw), so perhaps I'll check it out on a break tonight.

C-mom.... Nyquil is my very close friend. Never used to be but after I got this cold or another a little while ago and took it -- loved it. It used to keep me up tho...not anymore, thank goodness. Thanks for dropping by!

Beak -- awesome! I've driven cross country three different times. Wild stuff. Great times. Enjoy!! I take it you're going to go the southern route since during the winter there is no northern route? I've done both....LOVE the nothern route. So maybe in the summer, so that one. :)

Thanks Bonnie! This is the first day in a while I don't go into work until later so I'm finally finding a bit of energy. When I'm there first thing in the morning, I just want to pass out when I get home.

Esther,
I love Nyquil...but I think that's because it has all that alcohol. ;)
And what is this mushroom thing everybody's talking about? Ray's brother was once growing some big slimy mushroom that he used for making a sort of tea, but it reminded me of something out of "Little Shop of Horrors."

Thanks DM. Hope you feel better soon too.

Rory, here's the thing I take.... this is why the mushroom is good: http://www.ganoexcel.com/ganoderma.htm

And here is the way I take it (I get the 3-in-1 and the mocha: http://www.ganoexcel.com/product_beverages.htm

If anyone wishes to try it, let me know cause I can get it for you but I am in no way trying to tell u guys about it cause i sell it, if that makes sense. I joined only so I could get it cheap for myself. I'm not into pyramid schemes, etc.... I truly just like drinking the products. ;)

Get better ASAP.
Your blog is always on my daily route no matter what.
I hope your cats look after you and provide enough TLC.

Felis,
Our cats hover like protective mamas when my husband and I are sick. As the saying goes, "Cats know things."

In June I will be up to about eight weeks off. I may do a couple of day trips . I have never seen people so eager to leave VT. About three or four people want to go but I will probably go myself. The lure of the open road is irresistable.

This remedy is only for the desperate. Take two turkey drumsticks , one clove of galic, two carrots, a stalk of celery , a handfull of egg noodles and the most impotant ingredient two tablespoons of tabasco sauce. The broth clears congestion and tires you at the same time . Toss the alarm clock and rest until you feel awake.

If only I could, Beak. Felis, I got a bit worse on my shift last night. Today I only showed up for a meeting and then stayed in bed after that. I feel like not having that adreneline rushing through me made it a bit worse...like that was helping me hold on. Once I'm able to let go like today, it just gets worse. Tomorrow is my busiest day...oy, lol. I'm out of the house at 6:30am and not back until 8:30pm. Fun, fun, fun.

I've been sick off and on since Christmas, mostly a head cold and sore throat. The cigarette flavored plegm I hack up isn't all that pleasant either.

I need a better tasting cigarette.
