Thank You, Jennifer Griffin

Earlier today I was watching FoxNews, listening incredulously to that annoying David Asman as he reported that the homicide bombing in Netanya today seemed to indicate that the lull in fighting, the relative peace of the last few months, might be deteriorating. Thankfully, Jennifer Griffin, their Israel correspondent, corrected him.

But I ask... how could the media buy into the "lull" -- what peace could they think existed?! Anyone who actually pays attention to such things knows that this is a fantasy on the part of the media -- that the "truce" or "ceasefire" between Israel and the various murder organizations operating out of the territories never existed. Meryl over at The Jewish View has listed recent "ceasefire" breaches and "truce" attacks, thus shining a bright spotlight on the illusion -- something the MSM doesn't seem capable of doing.

Obvious political bias.
It is so important to pick ALL their lies - sory honest mistakes.

The media, "mainstream" or otherwise, are lazy. Too lazy to cover the numerous IDF interceptions of would-be jihadists. Their use of the term "lull" is an accidental tribute to (1) the efectiveness of the defensive barrier; and (2) the skill of the IDF.

Netanya, by the way, is a beautiful little resort town on the west coast of Israel's narrow "waist." Just eight or nine miles from Tulkarm, one of those Palestinian "refugee camps" you hear about. Netanya was also the site of that awful 2001 attack at the Park Hotel that killed twenty plus Israelis as they celebrated Passover.

The media believes whatever it desires. Indy media in the UK is already blaming Jews for the London attack. There is a problem on the left and it is major.

In his book "Preachers of Hate," Kenneth Timmerman does an excellent job of debunking the myth that terrorism would go away if the so-called Palestinian issue would be resolved. He gives astounding and gruesome details about the 2001 Passover bombing in Netanya.

The only "lull" in fighting/bombings occurs for the purpose of planning the next atrocity.

Blaming the Jews for the London bombings is the worst kind of ostriching.

Right on, felis.

jonathan -- Netanya is gorgeous....and probably feels cursed. And I agree with your two "lull" reasons.

beak, you got that right.

patrick -- here's to fighting the stupid!

AOW, thanks for the tip about Timmerman. Will have to check it out. As for blaming the Jews for the bombing, it's even worse than ostriching -- it's blatant anti-Semitism.

Exactly Gindy. You nailed it.

Who on earth listens to the media enough nowadays to catch this stuff? I know they're full of crap. I read, and decide from reading.

Esther,
Timmerman also says "What begins with the Jews doesn't end with the Jews."

Anti-Semitism itself is poison, and the poison spreads. We're seeing that ugly truth all around the world.

I think the media deliberatly chooses to ignore several truths because it doesn't fit with their agenda. Both right and left are pushing at Israel to make concessions and give up. Hard to ask a country to do that when it is being besiged all the time. But if they can try and show that concessions may lead, however improbably, to peace, why then they feel morally safe in recommending Israel give in to PA demands.
