Defending Israel

Ever hear a charge made against Israel that you know in your gut is wrong but you didn't have the facts handy? It is very important for you to have the tools, the knowledge, to debunk the bad information that is floating out there. To that end, there is a very useful Web site called Myths & Facts Online, a guide to the Arab-Israeli Conflict. Brilliant. May I suggest you familiarize yourself with it. Knowledge is empowering.

"American Jews goaded the United States to go to war against Iraq in 2003 to help Israel"

Now, that's a juicy morsel!

The whole neocon cabal bit has been a staple in my fight with the infamous 167. He likes to play word games with Jew and Zionist but I am having none of it.

Howard Dean denounced the American Jews goaded Bush into war with Iraq as anti semitic. I have yet to hear a response.

JVL is an escellent site, not least because they always have an extensive list of sources for their material, something that is lacking at a lot of internet sites that purport to have factual information on the Middle east (ISM comes immediately to mind).

patrick, I got the book as a gift a couple of years ago -- I love it!!! I would sit there typing out its responses to people...man was I glad it turned out to be online too. Block copy and paste is so much easier.

That was/is totally amazing. Aside from backing up a few beliefs I have held for a while, it was totally enlightening. I know where my eyes are going to be focused for the next week or two... block copy and paste;)

It baffles me that a site like that is even needed. Most of the rumors are just so stupid/unbelievable/obviously lies.

I guess people will believe what they want to believe, and any "facts" will be discounted.
