Movie Tagged!

Seawitch, a dear friend to the Blogway, has tagged me (!) with a Movie Meme that consists of four questions; I'll answer but I won't be taggin' any of you guys, so don't worry...

1. The number of movies I own.

Almost 70.

2. The name of the last film I purchased.

Oh dear G-d, you had to ask me this now? OK, it sounds really lame but it was a really funny movie -- Dickie Roberts Former Child Star. Fine, I hold my head down in shame, lol. Do I make up for it at all with the fact I also bought Mary Tyler Moore Season II?

3. The name of the last film I saw at a theatre.

The new Batman flick -- it was actually quite good.

4. 5 movies that mean a lot to me or that I have seen over and over.

Ten Commandments -- classic, needs no explanation
What's Up, Doc? -- easily one of the funniest films ever, back when Streisand was bearable to watch
Holiday -- Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn are amazing... just a feel good movie
The Story of Us -- something everyone in a relationship should see despite it starring Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer; teaches a lot about communication
Dirty Dancing -- guilty pleasure... touches me, don't know why...

DM - The point is there is no point. It's simply FUN. Paula, a gal I link to, does memes all the time. I would guess they also help us learn a little bit more about each other.

mark:

clearly you and i have different opinions on what fun really is. i will certainly say, this was not fun. if you want to find out about somebody, read their profile or ask them on a comment. if you want to have real fun, call up a buddy and go out or do something random.

DM - I see from your profile you are into music. Does "light up" ring any bells?

DM,

I gave both of the people I tagged an out. I was also tagged by somebody. I did not have to do it nor does anyone else. Why are you so upset by this? It is harmless. There is no point to it other than what mark suggested, it can be fun and it is a way to learn more about the people you blog with. There are countless memes out there ranging from books to what is on your nightstand.

There are many different ways to have fun. Memes are a source of fun for many and in a way it is a compliment to be tagged.

DM,
Not gettin' the hostility. It's all good. If you don't want to know this stuff, skip it and go to the next post. No biggie. When i think of offensive things I've put on this site, I would have thought that this one would rate pretty low.

Thanks for the compliment, seawitch. :)

you definately need to lay off the stereotyping, especially when you have no clue as to what i do personally. i don't "light up", shoot heroin, or drink alcohol. i am clean and yes i have taken drug tests for jobs in less than 24 hrs after they have told me too. musicians don't need crack to be creative.

the rest:

i simply asked what the point of it was and mark answered. i said that we differ in views of fun, that's all.

DM is a metalhead. Kind of explains a lot, I think. :oP>

DM - "Light up", as in "Light up or leave me alone". It means "Lighten Up", and has nothing to do with drugs. So much for me stereotyping. Metalhead.

LOL Light up!!!!! Chill!!! You're too g-ddamned serious!

17 years October third, yeah, I'm a friend of Bill's, too.

RR,

LOL -- I'm sorry. I meant to do yours but I forgot. :( Was it the one about books? I don't really read much. Any free time I try to read blogs! ;)

Mark, DM is cool. DM, Mark is cool. Yes, please start over. :) And Mark -- congrats on the upcoming 17 year anniversary -- wow! What an accomplishment!

wow, did i misinterpret that. next time, please don't put stuff in quotes that can be taken in another context, as you can see what may happen. lets just say i have had a long week (and its not even half over).

i am not die hard metal, though i like some. if you've read my music blog Nicotine & Rock, you would know my favorite band. to save some time, it is the Foo Fighters.

lets let bygons be bygons and put what happened behind us.
