Tuesday: A Day Of Political Stumping

And here I thought the former presidents and others attended a funeral to... like... actually bid farewell to a woman who had died. I didn't realize it was a time to forget her and make political jabs at the sitting president. Now that's class.

Some of those speeches at Coretta Scott King's funeral were beyond poor taste. Taking potshots at any sitting President during a funeral, for God's sake! LOW!!!

A different kind of class, crass and low.

Maybe I'm just jaded considered the crooked gangsters in Israeli politics, but really, what do you expect? They're all out to say that they're the best. That's politics.

James Earl "Doofus" Carter is a piece of work!

Why isn't he spearheading the effort to rebuild the Alabama churches which have been torched by unknown terrorists and stop adding to his legacy as the Worst U. S. President in memory?

I believe over at Wikipedia Jimmy Carter is listed as #39 out of...

Why should I listen to one of the worst president's we've ever had?

Carter is an embittered petty man. He just hates that everyone knows his presidency was a failure. I don't have any use for him or his words.

I wonder what Jimmy Carter was thinking. It's been a long-standing tradition that former presidents don't criticize sitting presidents and this was at a man's funeral. In the past I've made the statement that Jimmy Carter while not a great President was a great ex-President. Lately I have rethought that position.

Very true and also I belive fe failed as a business person.
His business is worth peanuts - no pun intended at all.
I think in his latest attempt at money making as a professional progressive he is much more successfull.

Carter is a low class individual who was barely elected despite a 24/7 favorable press and the presence of John Anderson a third party candidate.

He has blamed his failures on AIPAC and not the mess of an economy he left. His ineptness in Iran made Americans fair game.

Carter created the misery index high inflation and high unemployment . He has never adressed the economic mess he createdReagan swept into office and the booming eighties began and a generation of Reaganites was created.

The can do spirit and genuine Cold War spirit swept moderates away from the party of appeasement.

Sadly, it's not the first funeral/dem rally in recent history.

I have never considered myself republican - merely socially liberal and fiscally conservative. And there is no party for me. Esp not the dems.

I'm not a big Bush fan, but this was low and tasteless. It was disrespectful to Corretta Scott King quite frankly! They were there to memorialize her, not to make political hay.
