Esther,
This is excellent! I'll be sending in a donation.

I pour my time and money into the local VFW, which hosts the ambulatory wounded from Walter Reed every two months. Last week, we had Oktoberfest, and I made a point of dancing with every single soldier who wanted to get onto the dance floor. One young man (about 19) had a head injury, and the only words he still could utter were "I'm from Jersey." So sad! But he was out there on the dance floor and smiling.

I'll be out of town for Thanksgiving, but my cousin is going to bring to her house as many wounded as she can fit into the house--for Thanksgiving with a family.

All of us should do something to help our men and women in the service!

(Sorry for rammbling on here. I get carried away about this topic because I see some of these fellows up close and personal. For those who don't see them face to face, MaxedOutMama has provided a great way to participate in the support of our military)

Outside the Blogway, thank you so much for helping get the word out!

Always on watch, I'm so jealous of your ability to interact with and support the wounded so directly. I'm stuck out here in the middle of nowhere, so I have a favor to ask of you. Though we have volunteers working closely with the hospital, privacy laws can sometimes keep us from discovering a wounded soldier who needs a laptop. If you could help by keeping your eyes open for wounded warriors who could benefit from Valour-IT and telling them about it, that would be awesome.

Thanks so much!

AOW, that wasn't rambling -- that was awesome!

LOL seawitch. It's all good.

FbL, you're so welcome! It's the least I can do. Thanks for dropping by and posting that comment. I'll make sure AOW sees it.

Fbl,
I'll send the info along to the VFW. The ladies there know many of the men very well because of the many parties.
