OK, maybe not exactly, but it's pretty close. This was too cute not to post.

It is a very sweet story.

Very wise decision.

Unfortunately, Israel has an unbearably ponderous bureacracy, which is probably the reason some of those puppies ended up dying. Fortunately, there were some people who came to their senses and so at least the rest of them were saved.

Nice story Esther. What kind of puppies are they? They sure are cuties.

Glad you all found them cute too. Sad that eight have already died but hopefully the rest stand a better chance now. tran, you cracked me up. Patrick, I'm not sure what kind except they're all pedigreed, so the smugglers probably would have made a nice chunk of change. Not sure if they're all the same or different kinds. gindy -- I agree. You just want to hug 'em. OK, well, maybe just me. ;) But I know (and Rory does too) if I brought home a puppy that size, my cat could so take him out. She's tough.

Esther, maybe Patrick will consider allowing some of our cats to join his Canine Defense Force.

oh felis -- I love it! What great pictures. And my little ones would love to be a part. What size do you want the photos of my little kosher hams?

Oops, yes, Rory -- I have been thinking the same thing!!! Patrick, is that what you meant by unit Oket'z? :)

Esther I'd suggest your photo size as 1024x768 minimum (1248x1024 max.)
I will compress bu it is easier to go down than to go up (quality wise).
I prefer jpg but send whatever you've got I can convert it.
Here's my e-mail so you can send it to me.
felis@fhs.usyd.edu.au

By the way Rory you are also invited.
My online album is called ARISTOCATS and so I'm sure it would suit your cats just fine.
If you could tell me the hedlines/titles for your pics I'd appreciate it.
And for you proud dog owners I also have a "soft" spot - it is called Happy Dogs.

Here is the address:

You're also welcome, please send me your pics with your favourite canine friends

Felis, thanks for that invitation. I'll probably take you up on it. I did check out your photos and those cats are just beautiful. In fact, I always thought that Birmans were a really lovely breed because they seem to combine the best of both worlds.

Definitely, Patrick. "Stealth" is most cats' middle name. In fact, I have a few of them that are just waiting to go into action, and it might be a good way to keep some of them from constantly trying to beat up on each other.
