It Doesn't Get Better Than This

Rainy out. Saturday night with my boyfriend. Ben & Jerry's by my side (a back-by-demand flavor, Dublin Mudslide). And The Ten Commandments are on TV.

A little slice of heaven for me. What's your version?

Heaven ... is where one finds it!

Right now, it's blogging while in my home (paid for), looking out across our 25 acres and while watching Still Holding On: Legend of Cadillac Jack ... enjoying the North end of Lisa Hartman Black's jeans walk South ...

My dog is by my side and my wife's at church ... amen!

Haha...these are all GREAT guys! Keep 'em coming. It's fun to see what makes people happy. And since I usually have such depressing stuff on here, I'm enjoying this change of pace. Thanks for the terrific answers!!

Hm...good question. Reading a good book can be blissful, as well as playing soccer with the neighbor's kids in the alley as my landlady watches from her window, horrified.
Being told that my writing is good makes me happy, not getting paid for it is a different story. (Oops, spoiler).

For me? Hmm. Horseback riding deep in the mountains, my dog walking along side, cowboy hat and bandana on, bedroll on the back. At night, camping under the the clearest stars in the world with the blackest night as a backdrop. My campfire sizzleing and popping as I throw on an extra log. A light breeze through the trees and nothing but me, my horse, my dog, and God out there alone. That is heaven. (I am a cowboy).

A run in the morning, a stop at the gym, taking care of errands, talking to friends . . . then a nice evening home making veal parmagiana from scratch with some clams on the half shell and a big salad . . . Watching some NCAA hoops . . . Life is good, huh?

It's nice to read a little about my fellow bloggers out there. We are all very, very fortunate people.

heaven for me is being in such a good place with myself, life is heaven, even when the rest of y'all are acting like hell. as i shared with a good friend this morning, i'm just grateful, and humbled, and content right now. it's been a long time in coming. it may go away. but right now, right here, :)
