Do We Care About The Royals?

Or was it only Princess Diana that inspired people to care? I am truly curious. I used to think I was into the royals but the announcement about Charles and that icky Camilla left me thinking, "Who the heck cares?!" And then I remembered -- I used to. But was it Diana and all her glamour, angst and vulnerability that sucked me in? Sure, she could be a bit messed up at times but the one thing she wasn't -- was boring. Thoughts?

Constant television coverage has ruined any sense of mystery or drama the Royal family had. They are spoiled brats with no personality who have wall to wall media coverage; no one cares anymore.

Thanks for the comments on my site, Esther. I haven`t seen Million Dollar Baby, although I plan to.

It looks like you have an interesting site.

Gindy, that's hysterical.

Timothy, thanks for the comments and for visiting! Your site is very good too -- I suggest people check it out.

And to all -- if you haven't seen Million Dollar Baby yet, run -- don't walk -- to your nearest theater to see it. Amazing, amazing film.

From what I hear, the Bris don't think much of their royals either.

Timothy, I used that same template when I first started blogging back in August (whew, has it been that long?)

Now, let's not be nasty! This is true love conquering all...marriage, wife, kids, family, kingdom, reputation, etc. :-)

I think the Royals are entertaining, and I'd hate to see them go. I saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace once, and it was awesome.

Plus, when you have a king or queen as head of state, you can beat up on the head of government much more easily. I'm sure Dubya would prefer to be king, and let Dick run the government and take the licks!
