Enough is Enough

Here is a picture I took of Trafalgar Square in happier times. May she experience those again soon.

Brits! We're still with ya!

I believe that those who can schedule a trip to London should do so ASAP! Now is the time ...

I'm with you, SA. I actually took a pal to task for not going through with her trip to London but I can understand her fear...and her wanting to see what the real London, not a London under siege, is like.

i am one who can sympathize with Britain, who suffered a second terrorist attack in 2 weeks. however, PM Tony Blair and the mayor of London Ken Livingstone are highly anti-semitic people. the more i find out about them, the more i dislike them.

over the past 4 days i've been reading the NY Post, and found out that Blair when writing a list of countries who had been victims of similar attacks, did not include Israel down as one of them. this alone is absurd because Israel has been at the brunt of these attacks for many years. its nothing new to us Jews. i also read that he considers Israel a terrorist state (again, another absurdity).

about Livingstone- last year he welcomed Sheik Yousef Qaradawi, who called suicide bombings "heroic operations of martydom" and told fellow Muslims to "destroy aggressive Jews". Livingstone also called this very sick individual a man of "moderation and tolerance". A London editor for an Arabic-language newspaper called Sheik's views the utmost degree of extremism. Livingstone's words are highly suspicious.

like i said before, i sympathize with Britain. but now i have beef with Blair and especially Livingstone.

Drummaster, I can't diagree with you. What you said about Blair backs up things I've heard out of his own mouth that to me showed he sided with the Palestinians. I think I heard him say he wanted things to return to the pre-67 borders. He was on my sh#t list ever since that comment. The mayor is a complete anti-Semite who sickens me. I thought he understood the day of the attacks but went right back to his hateful rhetoric with a couple of days. So I'm with you -- and the Brits, but not so much their leaders.

"that to me showed he sided with the Palestinians."
I don't think Blair is really ant-Semitic per se but being sympathetic to "Palestinians" is definetely very British.
Guys, Israel wouldn't be in this position now if it weren't for the change of British heart and changing the initial plans regardingto the Jewish State and Transjordan.

This vile communist pig Livingstone however is another story.

To Drummaster and Esther,

Actually, I'm glad you both made those points. The truth is my first reaction to Esther's friend, who changed her plans to go to London, was that I wouldn't step foot in that city as long as that insufferable piece of shit is the Mayor. I mean that guy is really scary. And while I'm not a fan of Tony Blair's, I hadn't really thought of him as an anti-Semite and I'd be quite surprised if he really referred to Israel as a terrorist state. But, anything is possible and, if he did, then he definitely belongs on Esther's list. However, there's absolutely no doubt whatsoever that Ken Livingstone is an unregenerate Jew-baiter.

i have always questioned the mindset of the Brit leaders, mostly because i didn't pay much attention to them, until very recently. so what you have known for awhile, i have just found out. i hate with a passion the anti-semites like these leaders who sympahize(d) with the terrorists.

rory:

i wouldn't have guessed either that Blair thought of Israel as a terrorist nation. i just found out on Sunday in the NY Post. and Livingstone is worth less than shit. he's a terrorist supporter when it comes to them attacking Jews, but i'm sure he has a problem when they attack the Brits.

Drummaster,

That information in the NY Post about Tony Blair is really troubling. I live in New York and so I'm very familiar with the Post and they're quite sympathetic to Israel (and rightly so, if you ask me) and maybe they were willing to reveal something the NY Times would prefer not to. In any case, Britain definitely appears to have a problem when it comes to Israel, but also when it comes to Jews in general, and, unfortunately, it's a bigotry of very long standing in that country. The thing is that I'm sort of hesitant to hammer the Brits right now because a lot of people lost their lives so recently, but give me a few weeks and if things calm down over there, I'll really let them have it.

Esther, this is not directly related to the London attacks, but I came across this site this morning and thought about your blog:

http://www.zakausa.org/about.cfm

Apparently, they support victims and victim families of anti-semitic terrorism by recovering bodies and ensuring they are treated with that respect dictated by the Mosaic law.

maybe in retrospective of these second somewhat failed bombings, Britain's leaders will realize who their enemies are (Islamic fundamentalists) and be willing to say 'enough is enough' and start to take more drastic actions to prevent terrorist attacks.

Trafalgar Square? Don't tell me they took down Lord Nelson and the four lions?

If Livingson could have his way Nelson and the lions would be replaced with Mohammed and his companions.
