Oh. My. G-d.

Natan Sharansky, Minister of Jerusalem and Diaspora Affairs, has resigned to protest Israel's failure to condition the disengagement plan on democratic reforms in the Palestinian Authority. Wow.

I too like Sharansky. But, I am not surprised. In fact, I thought he stepped down previously. Was I wrong?

I know hope springs eternal, but isn`t there a bit too much hope by the Israeli leadership? They seem to fall into the same trap over and over; they accept the Palestinian`s promises while they take action. You`re supposed to pay the boatman AFTER he gets you across the Styx!
